Strengthening Protected Area Management
Protected Area Management Boards (PAMB) are multi-sectoral decision-making bodies responsible for policy formulation and ensuring that the management plans of protected areas are properly implemented. Through protected area governance assessments main challenges and respective ideas for action were identified by the stakeholders, serving as a basis for the participatory formulation of Manuals of Operations. Inclusivity and collaboration beyond the boundaries of individual sites were further enhanced through the establishment and institutionalization of the Mindanao PAMB Network.
